STAR WARS IDENTITIES
WHAT FORCES SHAPE YOU?
THE EXHIBITION IS COMING TO LYON
AT THE SUCRIERE FROM 9 NOVEMBER 2014 TO 19 APRIL 2015
The STAR WARSTM Identities exhibition is opening its doors in Lyon at La Sucrière for the last time in France.
The stop-off in Lyon takes place after eight successful months at the Cité du Cinéma in Paris, where visitors of all ages marvelled at the emblematic figures of one of cinema’s most famous sagas.
France is the first European country to host this travelling super-production loved by fans, the general public and the media the world over!
This fascinating interactive exhibition takes an original look at the characters from Star Wars.
Developed and produced by X2 Productions in Montreal in partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd., it is based on an impressive collection and explores the science of human identity through the characters in the series.
Visitors are invited to take part in a multimedia ‘identity quest’ using a radiofrequency identification bracelet which records their data.
When they have finished exploring the various stations, visitors can then create their own character, inspired by the heroes of Star Wars and leave with their own profile, which will be sent to them by email. Each new visit enables them to create a new Star Wars identity. There are more than 50 million possibilities!
The 200 original items from the archives of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, have come directly from the Skywalker Ranch in California. Some of them have never been exhibited in public before.
Yoda, Darth Vader, Anakin’s life-size podracer, models of vessels and preparatory sketches from the six episodes of the mythical saga will impress visitors who are expected to come from all over Europe.
This immersion in the world of Star Wars is an opportunity to discover your alter ego and, who knows, to choose to be a Jedi, like 40% of the Parisian visitors! Surprisingly, only 30% chose the dark side of the force at the end of their visit ... What will happen in Lyon?
